This movie plays on the preconceived idea that rich people can’t possibly commit low-level crimes. But what if they did? Why and how would they do it? Writers Guy Busick and Ryan Murphy turned the best day in the life of a woman into the exact opposite. They give you an additional reason to remain single. You need to see this film, and here’s why...
Have you gotten married, at some point, and felt you were stepping into a trap? Did you marry someone richer than you? Just how is family important to you? The moral of this story: don’t get married. It’s all downhill from there. If this doesn’t resonate with you, just take the film at face value. Samara Weaving is freaking hot and she plays a strong, resilient protagonist in deep trouble.
This film hit all the right notes. It never deviated from its powerful hook and it delivered on its premise. It made fun of something sacred, and it took no prisoners. Sometimes a thriller, sometimes a mindfuck, and, ultimately, a revenge story, Ready or Not is exactly what the doctor ordered. Every time you second-guess it, it will bitch slap you with its epic script.
