It's a disaster!
Remember that time you posted on Facebook what a great movie the coronavirus would make? Remember all those toilet paper and hand-washing jokes? Remember when you could still make fun of the apocalypse? Well, those days are back! Too soon? With Full Moon and Charles Band, it’s never too soon! But how do you shoot a zombie movie during a worldwide quarantine, you ask? Read on...
Most of this film is composed of footage from Hell of the Living Dead and Zombies vs Strippers, which explains how shitty the opening credits and first scene look compared to the rest of the movie. If you weren’t aware of this little detail, you’d think Full Moon was back to producing quality. Most of the scenes look like they were shot in 1980 because, well, they were.
To my knowledge, this is the lowest low, so far, from this free-falling studio. If 2020 marked the end of the world, this would be the last effort from them. But enough negativity. Here’s the thing: if you don’t care about the dubbed rehash used to come up with this movie withing a few weeks of the outbreak, you might actually enjoy it. It’s kind of dumb, but it’s funny in a Kung Pow kind of way!
