Plot
If you run out of meth, you can always count on a bottle of Tenafly Viper to get trashed. It’ll turn you into sludge and make you forget all your problems. Here’s the idea: Brooklyn hobos are meeting their makers hoping to get drunk. This film is as toxic as they come, pun intended. The actors are so dirty you can smell them. Every minute spent watching this movie makes you lose hope in humanity.
In any other movie of the kind, you’d get a commentary on poverty and charity. That’s not what this is. James M. Muro and Roy Frumkes, the creators, are having a blast with practical effects. They’re using every inch of that junkyard, and pretty much of every commerce or alley they managed to shoot in. The budget is close to nonexistent, and that doesn’t seem like an obstacle.
You can probably contract a disease from watching Street Trash. You’ll need a shower after the end credits. Calling it dirty would be an understatement; calling it disgusting, a compliment. The script starts simply enough but turns into chaos before you can say “peep show”. There’s nothing sexy about sex, here. You can’t always tell if you’re watching consensual sex or rape. Gross fucking film!
