Dialog
It all starts with a close-up of breasts and a murder. Everything that follows feels like a rushed and botched version of Sleepaway Camp 2. The same director and writer are involved, but, for some reason, Sleepaway Camp 3 seems eager to get to its end credits and claim its paycheck. The result is at the image of returning evil protagonist Pamela Springsteen's wig: messy.
Angela hid her birth gender from other campers in the first movie, which led to a shocking final shot ignored by Part 2. Part 3 tries to rectify her character by turning her into a master of disguise. This is a smart move for continuity. It takes place in the woods, like Friday the 13th, and it obviously piggy backs on it. Like Jason Voorhees, Angela hates drug users, pedophiles and loud rock.
The dialog is dumb and robotic. The acting degraded, the camera is unstable, the blocking is chaotic and the effects aren't glorified. All instances of brutal violence involving physical vigor seem improvised and played theatrically by fear of injury, with no dramatic camera angles or movements to compensate and conceal. This is a must see for slasher and franchise completists only.
